Instagram Selfie of Controversial Star Linked to Kim Soo Hyun During 'Queen of Tears' Finale Causes Stir

Kim Sae Ron has made a comeback on Instagram following her dating controversy with "Queen of Tears" star Kim Soo Hyun.

On her personal Instagram account, "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" star updated her 3.7 million followers with a glimpse of her life outside of showbiz.

Kim Sae Ron Instagram: Is She Preparing for Comeback?

On April 28, Kim Sae Ron's Instagram featured a short video and a series of artwork photos. She posted a selfie video in a running car while sporting a leather jacket, followed by three photos of paintings believed to have been drawn by the actress herself.

Kim Sae Ron's Instagram post piqued the curiosity of her followers as to what her artwork means.

Meanwhile, the actress returned to her social media activity weeks after she made headlines for causing speculations about dating Kim Soo Hyun.

At the height of the rom-com K-drama "Queen of Tears," Kim Sae Ron posted a photo of herself with the actor, sparking dating rumors.

However, shortly after sharing the Instagram story, she deleted it, but netizens managed to get screenshots of her controversial post.

Immediately after the photo created a massive buzz online, Kim Soo Hyun's agency, GOLDMEDALIST, denied the rumors, stating that there's no truth behind the speculations.

"The photo that has been spread online appears to have been taken in the past, when [Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron] were under the same agency, and we are completely unable to understand the motivation behind Kim Sae Ron's action [of posting the photo]."

To recall, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were labelmates; however, after the controversy broke, the agency did not renew the actress' exclusive contract with them.

In addition to the agency's statement, they are also looking into "taking strong legal action" against the malicious slander and insulting posts towards Kim Soo Hyun.

As for the controversial actress, she broke her silence and told the local media outlet, My Daily, that she would not be responding to the issue because she "feels that it would help me (her) to be silent."

Kim Sae Ron Steps Down from Upcoming Stage Play 'Dongchimi'

News sparked that Kim Sae Ron will be returning to her acting activities after she was tapped as one of the cast members of the upcoming play "Dongchimi."

However, a day after outlets cited the update, the actress withdrew from her supposed acting comeback.

Per the report, it was due to her "health reasons," but some suggest that it might be because of Kim Sae Ron's controversy.

The upcoming stage play, which depicts the story of three children and their dedicated parents, is set to run from May 3 to 12.

Kim Sae Ron was offered to play the role of the youngest daughter, described as "lovable but reckless."

If she hadn't stepped down from the theater play, "Dongchimi" would've been her next acting project after Netflix's "Bloodhounds."
