Moon Geun Young, known as "the nation's little sister," is the star of "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji." In that historical drama she plays Jung Gi, a character based on the first female potter in Korea. She has played a girl married to two men in "Mary Stayed Out All Night," a modern day Cinderella's stepsister in "Cinderella's Sister," a painter who must disguise herself as a man in "Painter in the Wind" and a social-climbing designer in "Cheomdamdung Alice." She was the youngest recipient ever of the Grand Prize (Daesang) award for her work in Painter of the Wind."

Here are a few facts you may not know about this talented actress.

1) Her favorite role was also her big break, playing Eun So in the KBS drama "Autumn in My Heart." She was only 13 when she played that role.

2) She took a two-year break from acting and when she started again, felt as if she was starting all over.

 "Regardless of the year I debuted, I think I have to start all over again," she said before taking on the role of Han Se Kyung in "Cheomdamdung Alice." "I've been acting as if someone was chasing me, but now I feel more at ease. I want to be responsible for the role I have to play as an actress and enjoy acting at the same time."

3) One of her hobbies is listening to music. Even though Jang Geun Suk was her favorite performer in "Mary Stayed Out All Night," in real life she is a big 2NE1 fan. She's especially fond of their song "Go Away."

She also loves to read and has donated money to several libraries and organizations that promote reading.

4) She is known as being very generous to her fellow actors. When Nam Goong Min, a Cheomdamdung Alice" co-star was acting a breakup scene, he saw her crying. Even though she would not be visible in his scene, she wanted to make it easier for him to cry.

 "To me, Moon Geun Young isn't one of those selfish actresses, but someone who has a lot of pride in her work and knows how to work well with any partner," said Nam. "It was only for a short time, and a breakup scene was difficult, but we had a lot of respect and trust in each other and so everything went great. I was happy to work with her."

5. She's smart. She attends Sungkyunkwan University but is in no rush to graduate. She is currently in her seventh year as a Korean Language and Literature major.

 "I have completed all of my credits but my English class grades are a bit low," she said. "To graduate, I need a certification for a computer class and good English marks. I already completed my thesis so I will graduate when I want to."
