Seo Taiji Marries Actress Lee Eun Sung

Unlike other celebrity weddings this summer, the wedding of Seo Taiji and actress Lee Eun Sung happened without any fanfare. There were no photographers. There was no lavish ceremony at a hotel or church. And there was no pre-wedding press conference.

But fans should not be surprised because no one learned of the singer's first wedding until five years after he got divorced.

The legendary pop star and former member of the famous boy band, Seo Taiji and the Boys, announced that he would marry Lee in May but did not provide a date. This week, he let fans know via his Facebook page that the wedding had already taken place. Only family and friends attended the ceremony and it was followed by a small private party.

The couple dated for three years before deciding to marry. Lee, who appeared in the drama "I Am Happy" and the film "Take Off," met Seo when she appeared in the music video for "Bermuda Triangle" a song on his eighth album. She had long been a fan of his and liked his easygoing personality.

"I liked his music for a long time but I never thought I would meet him in person," said Lee. "While I was on the set of his music video, I saw the way he treated everyone and thought that he was a decent guy."

Seo, 41, said that he expects Lee, 24, to have a positive effect on both his life and career. 

"I have now found true happiness in my everyday life," he said.

When he first announced his marriage plans, he described his future wife glowingly on his Facebook page, saying that she was a good person whose warmth made him and everyone else smile. Talking about his bride-to-be and announcing he would marry is a lot more candid than Seo was about his last marriage.

In 2011, fans were shocked to learn that not only had he married actress Lee Ji Ah but that the couple divorced five years before. The public only learned about the marriage because Lee sued him for alimony in 2011. The couple lived in Arizona from 1996 until 2006 when she filed for divorce. She became an actress in 2007, appearing in the film "The Legend" with Bae Yong Joon and then in the drama "Athena."

Seo Taiji says he plans to release his ninth album soon but did not give a date.

"I will make a comeback soon but since the break has been so long, I must apologize to those who have been waiting for the new release," he said.
