Another Kdrama Baby: Park Sol Mi and Han Jae Suk Announce They Are Expecting

Park Sol Mi and Han Jae Suk, who met on the set of the 2010 drama "Merchant Man Kim Duk," have shared the happy news that they are expecting a baby.

Park and Han married in April, after dating for three years. They were both thrilled to learn the news that they would be parents.

"She is currently 10 weeks pregnant," said a representative from her agency, Starhaus Entertainment.

When asked if she had any acting plans for the next few months, the agency representative said, "She is devoting her time practicing her calligraphy, taking part in cultural activities and focusing on staying healthy."

Park has not said anything about returning to work after she delivers the baby. Her last appearance in a kdrama was playing Seo Chan Joo in "Dear You," although she also recently appeared as a guest on the variety show: "Law of the Jungle in Amazon and Galapagos." The actress has a long list of drama credits, including "Winter Sonata," the drama said to have inspired the Hallyu. She also is known for her roles in the dramas "Bad Girls" and "Oh Lady."

Han Jae Suk recently played Jang Hyun Woo in the drama "Ohlala Couple" and also has a role the film "Our Heaven." He is known for his work in the dramas "Four Sisters" and "All About Eve."

The couple is said to be very happy they got pregnant so quickly because they married rather late in life. Park is 35. He is 40. At a press conference before they married, they both talked about becoming older and wiser.

"Ours is not a love that was made overnight," Han told the media. "Our feelings for each other slowly grew until we decided to marry."

"It's the same for me," said Park. "I am also getting older. Before, when we dated, we acted in dramas and lived normally, and then our feelings for each other just grew stronger and stronger."

Han shared some of the advice that was given to him by his best friend and actor Jang Dong Gun, who hosted the first part of the wedding ceremony.

"He told me a lot of the benefits that marriage brings," said Han. "He told me that I must treasure my happiness, build a happy family, and live well."

With their announcement, the couple is a little closer to building that happy family.
