Being a Hallyu star does not guarantee feeling confident about the way you look.

AOA's Seolhyun was recently named a promotional ambassador for Visit Korea Year. As a member of the girl group AOA and an actress in the dramas "My Daughter Seo Young," "Ugly Alert" and "Orange Marmalade" and the film "Gangnam Blues," Seolhyun can be considered a Hallyu star. She's beautiful.

But that doesn't mean she has always liked the way she looks.

"I try to show various sides of me," she said in a recent interview with High Cut magazine."I think I change all the time, although sometimes I look ugly."

She struggled with her weight.

"I was concerned about my thighs and hips. I wanted to be skinny. But at one point I accepted my flaws as character and so did other people."

Park Shin Hye, last seen in the drama "The Heirs" and the films "The Royal Tailor' and "Beauty Inside," was once so unhappy about her looks that she thought about getting plastic surgery.

"As the tip of my nose is slightly crooked, I got comments from people saying that I looked ugly, or that the end of my nose looked like it was split in the middle," she said.

The beautiful actress learned to love her nose and now considers it unique.

Even Lee Min Ho has said that he does not think he is handsome. When he was filming "The Heirs," he said that he was not as attractive as Kim Woo Bin or Park Hyung Sik.

"My face and my defined double eyelids cause me some insecurity," said Lee Min Ho.

Infinite's L, who had a small role romancing Ha Ji Won in "The Time I Didn't Love You, 7,000 Days" is not impressed with his face.

"I'm not satisfied with it," he said when he appeared on "Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time." "I always wished my face had more character to it."

And Yeo Jin Goo, who starred in the Korean war film "The Long Way Home" does not like his face either.

"Honestly, I don't think I am a good looking actor," he said. His fans don't agree.

Park Seo Joon, the star of "She Was Pretty" is not impressed with his looks either, but on the November 8 broadcast of MBC's Section TV, he said there is a plus side to not being so handsome. He said that his plain looks help make his co-stars look more attractive.

"My face is plain," said Park. "Since my looks are plain i am able to create the effect of making the person next to me look very beautiful. If there are any actresses that want to look prettier, they should work with me."
