Lee Tae Im Injured In A Car Accident

Actress Lee Tae Im, who currently appears in the cable drama "You Will Love Me," has been injured in a car accident. The actress was on her way to film an episode of the Channel H drama when she was involved in an automobile crash.

Lee's management company, Henem, told themedia outlet Korea Times that the actress's activities have been cancelled indefinitely. The injury must be serious since k-dramas are filmed on such tight schedules that actors can rarely afford to take more than a few days off even for significant injuries.

Lee and her stylist were traveling in a minivan when the vehicle hit a center guard rail near an Incheon gas station. Both Lee and her stylist were taken to Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital. Lee sustained injuries to her forehead and pelvis. Lee's stylist sustained unspecified serious injuries.

Lee's cable drama only began on October 29 and the actress recently appeared on the November 7 episode of Korea's Saturday Night Live with the show's regulars Shin Dong Yup, Yoo Sae Yoon and Ahn Young Mi.

It has been six months since Lee appeared on television, following a much publicized argument with Jewelry singer Kim Ye Won. She and Kim exchanged words while recording the program "My Tutor Friend" on February 24. Lee was criticized for the way she spoke to Kim but public opinion of the situation changed when a video of the exchange was made public.

When Lee appeared on SNL, one of the skits in the show referenced the media scandal. At the end of the show she was interviewed by Shin Dong Yup. Shin asked her who was to blame during the scandal and she apologized.

"I was 100 percent in the wrong," said Lee. "I was her senior and I want to tell her I'm sorry and apologize for all the damage I've caused her."

Lee Tae Im was  making her comeback in the romantic "You Will Love Me," playing an aspiring drama screenwriter named Park Ji Ho. Her character pretends to be a man and offers relationship advice to a man with no dating luck. She helps transform him into someone any woman would date, even her.

That man, Oh Geun Baek, is played by Oh Chang Suk. It was a reunion for Lee and Oh since they appeared together in the drama "My Heart Twinkle Twinkle." Lee also appeared in the dramas 'Wild Chives and Soybean Soup" and "Marry Me, Please."
