After a second terrorist attack in Paris, Google has offered free internatinal calls to France through its new and improved version of Hangouts. These free calls are extended to Android and iOS through the Hangouts voice call app that is growing in popularity among chat users.

As tech firms continue to support the victimes of the Paris attacks that occurred on Friday the 13th, Google has frozen its fees for Hangouts calls to outside its borders.

The Hangouts app for chat or voice/video calls is available on Android, iOS, and on the Internet.

"We're thinking of you, Paris. No fees on calls to France, via Hangouts.#ParisAttacks," Google said in a blog post, according to Tech Times.

In a similar move, Facebook also got into the action with a "Safety Check" letting others know if they are unharmed. Twitter users came up with the hashtag, #PorteOuverte, i.e. "open door."

In France, the hashtag @PorteOuverteFRA was established by Twitter to check if the anyone needs a place to spend the night at the homes of volunteers who opened the doors to the victims and releatives.

"Social media has become an important environment not just for socializing casually, but also for offering support, spreading the latest news, organizing volunteer efforts and keeping tabs on loved ones in times of great distress, such as the recent attacks in Paris," Tech Times reported.

For using Google hangouts, you can go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download the Hangouts app or go to the website hangouts.google.com in order to create free international calls to Friance.
