Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out about his career choices post Harry Potter in a recent interview with NME Magazine.
When asked about why he chose "weird" movie roles after acting in the wildly popular Harry Potter series, Daniel replied, "People do ask me, 'Why do you choose such weird movies?' but I don't think they're weird," reported Daily Mail. "Isn't having weird tastes good, though? I think that's better than always wanting to play the handsome hero."
Daniel Radcliffe's adult roles have included legendary American poet Allen Ginsberg in "Kill Your Darlings" and Igor in the classic horror tale remake "Victor Frankenstein."
The 26-year-old actor said he continuously keeps an eye on what is happening and is especially interested in "Harry Potter And The Cursed Child," the upcoming West End stage production which opens in London next summer.
Daniel said it's weird that the next Harry Potter series movie is being made without the main character, but he is happy for the movie to go without him. He said he has no owenership of the movie and that he is very excited to check out what happens in the movie next.
The actor said that he has been keeping an eye on the Potter prequel film, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them," which stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander.
He admitted during the NME interview that he is already jealous of newbie Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter spin-off costume.
Daniel Radcliffe said he got to wear jeans and a zip top for around 10 years and Eddie Redmayne has got a great coat already.
The upcoming Harry Potter spin off, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," is based in New York City in 1926 decades before Harry Potter was born. The movie will roll out in theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
NME has already hit the newsstands on Friday.
