"Good Doctor" ended on a positive note having made some satisfying statements about what it means to be a good doctor and a decent person. The drama also had some positive things to say about the benefits of accepting people for who they are. Ratings, which peaked during the 16th episode with 21.5 percent, had dropped but were still a healthy 19.2 percent for the final episode.

Despite the drop in ratings, the KBS drama held first place yet again in its competition with "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji" and 'Suspicious Housekeeper."

The medical drama starring Joo Won, Moon Chae Won and Joo Sang Wook told the story of Park Shi On, a doctor with autism spectrum disorder. Park Shi On was a savant in all things medical but he had difficulty functioning socially so people assumed he was not very bright. All Park Shi On ever wanted was to help sick children and be accepted. Gaining that acceptance was a struggle. Being loved was also a struggle. But by the end of the series, he had accomplished both. His skills as a surgeon were prized and he was both loved and respected for who he was.

Neither of the competing shows came anywhere close in the ratings. "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji," starring Moon Geun Young, Lee Sang Yoon and Kim Bum, achieved only 7.2 percent in the ratings. The drama about Korea's first female potter has held third place for a while.

Getting slightly higher ratings was "The Suspicious Housekeeper," which earned 7.4 percent. "The Suspicious Housekeeper" starring Choi Ji Woo, Lee Seung Jae, Wang Ji Hye and Kim So Hyun, is a remake of the Japanese hit drama "Kaseifu no Mita." It tells the story of a family trying to cope with the loss of its mother and the very strange housekeeper who arrives to help them. When the family's father calls the agency to find out more about her, he is told that he must be careful because the housekeeper will do whatever they ask. This naturally leads to some dramatic situations.

Now that "Good Doctor" has ended, one of these dramas may have a chance of earning better ratings. However, a new drama will enter the competition as of next week. "Future's Choice," also known as "Marry Him If You Dare" begins Oct. 14. The drama about a woman who gets to discuss her life choices with her future self, stars Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Dong Gun, Jung Yong Hwa and Han Chae Ah.
