Kate Gosselin Talks About Her Kids; ‘Kate Plus 8’ Star Opens Up About Dating While Raising Teenagers
Kate Gosselin talked about her kids, who appears in her reality show "Kate Plus 8." According to a report from Reading Eagle, the single mom opened up about trying to date again while raising children who are now in their teenage years.
Ever since she divorced her husband Jon Gosselin in 2009, Kate Gosselin has been raising her kids all by herself: 15-year old twins Mady and Cara and 11-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.
"It's been six single years, and I've been focusing on my kids during that time which keeps me busy to say the least," she said.
The 41-year-old has been open about how she recently tried out dating. However, Kate Gosselin said having kids who are about to date as well has made it weirder for her to entertain men.
"This year I decided to take some time to see what it's like to be back out in the dating world," Kate Gosselin narrated.
"The weirdest part is that I have teenagers now who are just around the corner from being able to date as well."
"The conversations throughout this season are pretty surreal due to the strange parallels in our lives," she added.
Kate Gosselin and her children first became famous because of their TLC reality show, "Jon and Kate Plus 8." The series was re-formatted and renamed to "Kate Plus 8" after her divorce with Jon Gosselin and thereafter left Kate with all their children.
In Touch Weekly reported last summer about how Kate Gosselin's kids are the ones telling her to start dating again. The TV personality said this has encouraged her, specifically since she wants her children to have a father figure to look up to.
"I would love to date," she said. "I would love for the kids to have that male role model."
Kate Gosselin's most recent rumored boyfriend was Jeff Prescott, 52-year-old co-founder of microstock photography agency Dreamstime.com.
However, TMZ revealed that the millionaire businessman eventually dumped Kate Gosselin after he discovered that their relationship was being used to raise ratings of "Kate Plus 8."
