Controversial filmmaker Quentin Tarantino expressed his displeasure at Walt Disney Pictures for allegedly pushing his film "The Hateful Eight" out of Los Angeles' famous Cinerama Dome in favor of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Speaking to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show, Quentin Tarantino said that Disney wanted the new J.J. Abrams "Star Wars" film to play on Cinerama Dome on Dec. 25. His 70mm version of "The Hateful Eight" is set to debut to the public on the said occasion, according to a report by Variety.

"It was real bad news and it f**king pissed me off," according to the "Pulp Fiction" director. "Disney is going out of their way to f**k me," he added.

According to Quentin Tarantino, when ArcLight Cinemas (who owns the Cinerama Dome) informed Disney that they were honoring Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" to play in the Dome during the holidays, Disney then threatened to pull "Star Wars" from all ArcLight cinemas.

"Disney said, 'If you honor your deal with "Hateful Eight," we will not allow you to show "Star Wars," the biggest movie in the world, in any of your theaters," Tarantino continued.

"It's vindictive, it's mean and it's extortion," the director added.

However, according to a report by Deadline via The Independent, Disney, which has always intended for "Star Wars" to play on Christmas and through the holidays, has secured the Dome cinema earlier than Weinstein Company. Accordingly, Quentin Tarantino was informed only just recently.

To Quentin Tarantino, the Dome is an important venue for his film. In fact, the Cinerama logo is said to appear in the opening credits of his "Hateful Eight" movie which premiered at the Cinerama Dome last Dec. 7.

During the radio show, host Howard Stern assured Quentin Tarantino that Disney will surely try to fix the issue. He noted that Disney CEO Bob Iger is an avid listener to his show.

Stern then addressed Iger, saying, "Listen Bob ... I don't give a sh** about this theater. Quentin's a weirdo, sorry Quentin.

"They've got the stupid 70 mm. They got all that sh** that he cares about," Stern continued. "He just wants to show his goddamn movie there. You're sitting on top of the world. You've got 'Star Wars.' What, do you need this?

"Bobby, be a gracious man," Stern added. "I want Quentin to show this new movie. He's worked his a- off. He wants the equiptment. Hatefully, would you do it for me? ... It's Christmas for Christ's sake."
