2015 was a better year for k-celeb match-ups than it was for break-ups but a few uncouplings disappointed fans.

The least expected break-up may have been that of actor-singer Lee Seung Gi and actress- Girls Generation member Yoona. They seemed so right for each other. The couple officially confirmed their friendly breakup on August 13 via their agencies. According to her agency, SM Entertainment, the couple decided to remain friends.

Lee Seung Gi and Yoona announced their relationship in January 2014 and dated for a year and nine months. Rumors blamed their busy schedules, it's a common reason for celebrity break-ups. During the time they dated Yoona was in China filming a drama and busy with Girls Generation activities while Lee Seung Gi filmed two movies and had a music comeback.

Yoona was not the only Girls Generation member to have a break-up in 2015. Tiffany and 2PM's Nichkhun also broke up. On May 29, both agencies confirmed the sad news. The split was confirmed around the time that both idols had cameos in the drama "Producers." Nichkhun and Tiffany dated for about a year and four months but no reason was given for the end of the relationship.

The first k-celeb break-up of the year happened when Bae Doo Na and her British boyfriend actor Jim Sturgess broke up in March. The couple met on the set of the film "Cloud Atlas" where they played several characters, two of whom were married to each other. They tried to keep the relationship private but were photographed together in Los Angeles and Seoul. They finally went public when he showed up to support her at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival. She was there because of her role in the k-movie "Girl At The Door." Her agency Set Byul Entertainment offered no explanation for the breakup saying they could not reveal details of her personal life.

Lee Hee Joon and Kim Ok Bin were next. They met and began a romance while filming the JTBC drama "Yuna's Street," then called it quits in April after dating for six months. The couple denied rumors that they broke up in February only to split two months later.

According to her agency, Will Entertainment, the actors broke up because they were busy focusing on their own respective projects.

"The break-up happened naturally, just as other celebrity relationships do."

Lee appeared in the award-winning film "Sea Fog" and can be seen in the film "Thinking of Older Brother." In 2015 Kim Ok Bin appeared in the film "Minority Opinion."

The Song Ji Hyo and her CEO boyfriend did not end their relationship in 2015 but it became a matter of public record on July 10 when CjeS announced the agency would no longer represent her. The "Running Man" star began her management relationship with CjeS Entertainment in 2011 and began dating Baek Chang Joo, the CEO of CjeS in 2012.

"After four years of managing Song Ji Hyo, we will no longer be working with her," said a representative for CjeS Entertainment. "Also, the CEO and Song Ji Hyo have continued a manager-actor relationship, after breaking up two years ago."

Fans of Song Ji Hyo's working relationship with Gary on "Running Man" hoped that the official announcement would encourage their relationship to develop in a more romantic direction. So far, there has been no news.

We wish these celebrities the best of luck in love the next time around.
