Kim Hyuk Special Appearance On ‘Basketball” Like A Star

Kim Hyuk makes a special appearance on "Basketball."

Kim Hyun plays the role of Kim Hyuk who is on the same team as Kang San (played by Do Ji Han) in the new Monday/Tuesday drama "Basketball" (Director Kwak Jung Hwan/Script Kim Ji Young, Jang Hee Jin),  He is a person that has great skills and acts as the play coach of the actors.

Kim Hyuk starred in "Basketball" because of a special relationship with Director Kwak Jung Hwan.  He ordinarily had great basketball skills and Kwak Jung Han personally suggested that he audition.

A personnel from the staff said, "Kim Hyuk was a college basketball star and unlike the martial arts coach, he was in harmony with the other actors and gave detailed advice.  Director Kwak Jung Hwan can't stop talking about him."

Kim Hyuk commented on his reactions from filming and said, "Even basketball stars have a tough time getting along so it's not an easy task for non-basketball players who like basketball to collaborate together.  But I've forgotten how hard it is by seeing the skills grow." 

This series features the love and conflict of young people who look to basketball as their torch during the tumultuous times of the Japanese occupation and liberation into post-Korean War years, as the series also captures the spirit of cooperation and emotional victories.  It uses as a motif the National Basketball team that went to the 1948 Olympics.
