"Medical Top Team" Kwon Sang Woo, Jung Ryeo Won and Joo Ji Hoon Operates Surgery to Save Song Bum Joon
Nine members of "Medical Top Team" including Kwon Sang Woo, Jung Ryeo Won and Joo Ji Hoon are operating their first surgery.
On the fifth episode of MBC Wednesday Thursday drama "Medical Top Team," which aired on October 23, 2013, the nine "Top Team" members went through an intricate surgery in order to save Song Bum Joon's life.
On the previous episode, the nine Top Team members had an initiation.
Top Team operated the surgery on Song Bum Joon, who was at an emergency situation because of the heart failure due to the aortic valve closure. However, Song Bum Joon, whose postoperative recovery has been successful, suddenly lost conciousness as his body gave a sudden cardiac tamponade.
The Top Team actors, wearing masks and plastic caps, played the emergency situation with serious looks. Kwon Sang Woo expressed his bloody eyes to portray the urgency of surgery, and Jeong Ryeo Won showed a slight shake of the pupils to show her anxiety.
"Medical Top Team" producer said, "from the fifth episode, the Top Team will go on a difficult surgical challenge and launch a full-scale operation, which has a domestic success rate of 50% or less."
