Who's hot and who's not? The Best Film Awards 2016 recently voted a total of 11 actors as being the Rising Stars of 2016.

The list included actors Do Kyung Soo, Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, AOA's Seolhyun, Lee Sung Kyung, Im Si Wan, Chae Soo Bin and Choi Woo Sik.

This was the first year that the Rising Star category was added to the Best Film Awards. The awards were based on votes from both fans and film reporters, with audience input contributing 60 percent of the vote. Altogether more than two million votes were tallied.

What have these stars done to shine so brightly? Here's a recap of what they were up to recently.

Do Kyung Soo: In 2015 the EXO member known as D.O. appeared in two films. He plays a man in love with Kim So Hyun in "Pure Love" and Jo Jung Suk's younger brother in "Thinking of My Older Brother." He tried an evil role, playing a psychopath in the drama "Hello Monster." His next project is leading the cast of voice actors in the animated film "Underdog."
