Lee Jae Yoon and Lee Sung Kyung to Star in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju
Lee Jae Yoon (Oh Hae Young Again) and Lee Sung Kyung (Doctors) have been confirmed to be starring in the new MBC sports drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju is inspired by the story of Olympic gold medalist Jang Mi Ran. Thedrama will be set on a college campus and tell the story of athletes trying to achieve their dreams and experiencing love. The drama comes from the writer of Oh My Ghostess and High School King of Savvy.
Lee Sung Kyung plays our female weight lifter who has a tough exterior, but is shy and sensitive. Lee Jae Yoon will play an obesity doctor with a kind personality who ends up helping our heroine. Also in the cast is Nam Joo Hyuk (Cheese in the Trap) as a swimmer at the campus.
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju is scheduled to premiere in November on MBC.
