Oh Ji Ho Confirmed to Star in Oh My Geum Bi
Oh Ji Ho (My Little Baby) has been confirmed to be starring in the new KBS drama Oh My Geum Bi (previously titled My Fair Lady). Oh My Geum Bi tells the story of a father and his 8 year old daughter with a rare disease known as childhood Alzheimer's. Oh Ji Ho has signed on to play the father who became a swindler after having to give up his dream of being a chef after losing his sense of smell.
Child actress Heo Jung Eun (Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) will be playing the daughter. Park Jin Hee (Memory) has also been confirmed as our lonely leading lady who develops feelings for Oh Ji Ho and helps care for the daughter. Oh Yoon Ah (Angry Mom) will play the child's mother.
I don't see any way for this drama not to be horribly depressing. Even if they go with a lighter tone, the subject matter is just so sad. This cast is really great though, and it should be a very powerful story of the bond between family.
Oh My Geum Bi is scheduled to premiere November 16 on KBS.
