Gong Hyo Jin Shares What She Loves About The Romantic Comedy

Gong Hyo Jin shared about her experience with the romantic comedy genre!

 "The Most Ordinary Love" is a story about Jae Hoon (played by Kim Rae Won), who was heartbroken by his ex-girlfriend and Sun Young (played by Gong Hyo Jin), who was fooled by her ex-boyfriend. Both of them build an honest relationship.

She was asked about what she liked about the film. Gong Hyo Jin said she liked realistic scenarios that made her relationship with the story. She said that her character is not just ordinary because she is a charismatic woman. She said that the fun scenario piqued her interest in a romance film.

She said she enjoyed the open ending of the film. This made the film more interesting. She said rom-com glamorize characters and the ending is basically decided. She said in the ending the characters hug and say that they love each other. This makes the viewers think that they want a love like that. She said that the ending of this film is very different. She said that she imagined a lot of things because the ending was good. There is nothing to add to a beautiful ending like this.

She talked about the way Jae Hoon drank to be able to forget his painful breakup. Gong Hyo Jin said that she experienced texting someone after she got drunk. The person did not read her text and she was worried. She checked online if she was blocked by the person. She said people become laughable because of love. People can become vulnerable and do stupid things because they are in love. We become very emotional and other people can't understand the way we feel.

She said that she will always choose characters who can laugh and cry when it comes to love while working hard rather than a character who only depends on love. She wants to be a career woman who is in love. She said that she tried to show different kinds of acting. She said that she received a review that her acting seems too similar in all her projects. This led her to try a different type of project.

She ended the interview by saying 'When the Camellia Blooms' is a great project that she wanted to give strength. While 'The Most Ordinary Love' is not an ordinary love story because many viewers will be able to relate to it.
