Lee Seung Gi Is Excited About “Noonas Over Flowers”

After being confirmed to be joining the cast of the new variety show "Noonas Over Flowers", actor Lee Seung Gi admits to being both excited and nervous starring in a variety show after one year and seven months.

According to the actor's representative, "Lee Seung Gi has been expressing his desire to work at a variety show because he enjoys participating in them. It has been a while since his last variety show appearance so we can tell that while he's extremely thrilled to be coming back, he is also very worried and nervous. It's his first time after Strong Heart so he's having difficulty staying calm."

The first season of the variety show "Grandpas Over Flower" by Na Young Suk PD gained positive attention for his efforts to find Korean food in countries such as France, Germany and Switzerland. However, their destination for the second season is Croatia, and it doesn't have Korean restaurants, causing the cast to be concerned.

A representative said, "While Lee Seung Gi is not picky with his food, the filming will take a long time so he has taken this into consideration. There are no Korean restaurants in Croatia so he reportedly packed food made by his mother to bring on the trip to enjoy during times when he misses her cooking."

Joining Lee Seung Gi are veteran actresses Yoon Yeo Jung (67), Kim Ja Ok (63), Kim Hee Ae (47) and Lee Mi Yeon (43). The staff and cast left for Croatia on October 31, and the first episode is expected to air by the end of November.
