Shinhwa’s Minwoo was Accused Of Sexual Harassment Charges and is Now Cleared from the Accusation

The news regarding Shinhwa's Minwoo accusation of sexual harassment was released last July 2. It is said that two women accused the star of sexual harassment and his agency the Liveworks Company has issued a statement clearing the issue that the incident was a big misunderstanding. The two women made an official complaint against the star stating that he allegedly sexually harassed the claimed victims in a bar at Gangnam. In a statement, the agency of the actor Liveworks made an apology for causing shock and disappointment with the news. The agency issued a statement that states:

"Hello. This is Liveworks Company.

First, we'd like to bow our heads in apology to all those that must have been disappointed and shocked at the news about our agency artist Minwoo today.

We spoke to Minwoo in order to find out what happened, and it was an incident that occurred out of a small misunderstanding at a gathering with acquaintances at a pojangmacha tent bar. The involved parties have talked to each other and cleared up all misunderstandings. On reporting sexual harassment to the police when there was no sexual harassment, the other party will be withdrawing their complaint.

However, regardless of the truth of the matter, Lee Min Woo is ashamed that this has happened at all. He is sincerely apologetic, and he is reflecting.

As the involved parties have cleared up all misunderstandings, we earnestly request that everyone refrain from speculative reports.

Once again, we apologize for causing concern."

The company said that even though it was false accusations and there was no truth in the matter, Minwoo was still very apologetic and feeling very sorry for what had happened. The company is asking the people to please refrain or to stop spreading the negative news since the misunderstanding has already been resolved.

Before the year ends, there is a good new for Shinhwa's Minwoo who has been cleared of the sexual harassment suspicions that arose earlier this year.

Minwoo was accused of sexually harassing two women last July 2 at a gathering on the morning of June 29th. The next day, his agency Liveworks Company stated that it had been a big misunderstanding and that the said victims would be withdrawing their complaints. Later on, it was confirmed that the complaints of the two women were withdrawn. But because an indecent act by compulsion is indictable without a complaint by law, the police went on to investigate the case and forwarded Minwoo to the prosecution.

After several months, on December 31, Liveworks Company released a statement explaining that Minwoo had been cleared of the alleged accusation. The company released it statement stating:

Regarding the incident related to our singer Lee Min Woo that was reported through the media in July, the prosecution recently closed the investigation with the conclusion that no suspicions were found.
