Premiere Review & Recap: "The World of The Married" Part 1
In a black car parked in the garage, Ji Sun-Woo opened the door and placed a big portrait on the chair. She unwrapped the portrait and hung the large wedding photo on the wall. It's a photo of a bride, groom and a young boy - her family. She headed to the bathroom and took a shower. In the first episode of "The World of The Married," Sun-Woo is introduced as a popular doctor.
Later that night, heavy rain poured and a car parked beside Sun-Woo's car. The man took out a suitcase and got inside the house. He changed his wet clothes and reached out to the bed. He stroked his wife's hair and made his way to kiss her. Sun-Woo greeted Lee Tae-Oh, her husband, as he arrived from a short trip. The following morning, Sun-Woo got dressed to prepare for work. Tae-Oh awakened and teased her to stay in bed. Sun-Woo declined and took his jacket from the chair, but a red lip gloss fell out from one of the pockets. Tae-Oh explained he used it and couldn't find the best color for himself.
Sun-Woo and Tae-Oh greeted their son Joon Young for breakfast. About to get out of the dining area, Tae-Oh put a blue scarf around her neck. Sun-Woo felt happy about Tae-Oh's thoughtfulness.
On her way to work, she called one of her friends Myung Sook and they talked about the upcoming event she is preparing. Sun-Woo called another friend Ye Rim who arrived with her husband from a trip as well.
Sun-Woo arrived in the hospital where she works as the assistant director. The police officer made investigations with the hospital director who was drunk. The director received allegations for misconduct. Sun-Woo checked the documents and explained to the police and the director was cleared for more cases.
In her clinic, she accommodated patients who sought help for their health conditions. A young lady requested to ask for sleeping pills but Sun-Woo declined to give her any. Instead, she advised her to sleep and eat proper food. During the consultation, she looked at the blue scarf hanging on the stand. She saw a red strand of hair. Sun-Woo felt confused because of it.
Later in the afternoon, she picked up her son in the school. Jun Young greeted his mom and talked casually. A redhead woman then approached them. She introduced herself as her husband's secretary. Sun-Woo asked when she started working as his secretary. Mi Yeon explained it's been over a year already. She mentioned Tae-Oh is always off from work at 5 P.M. every day. This bothered Sun-Woo a lot because Tae-Oh always arrives at home at past 7 P.M every night.
Where did Tae-Oh spend hours from 5 P.M. onwards?
Sun-Woo cooked a beef stew pot for dinner. Tae-Oh arrived at almost 8 P.M. Sun-Woo asked why he was late. He explained that he always comes home at the same time every night. She didn't argue and mentioned what his secretary told her.
Sun-Woo shared a box of beef stew soup with neighbors, who are also their good friends and couple Ye Rim and Je Hyuk. Ye Rim then asked how Tae-Oh is doing since they seldom talk, given his busy schedule. Sun-Woo assured her all is well between her and her husband. She went home, calmed at what she said.
