Gong Yoo and Bae Doo Na To Star in Netflix's "The Silent Sea"

Netflix, as one of the world's leading streaming services, has been working for a new film. With their counterparts in the Korean film industry with the title "The Silent Sea."

According to reports, Gong Yoo, Bae Doo Na, Kim Sun Young, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Heo Jung Do confirmed that they will star in "The Silent Sea," a Netflix-produced original series.

The upcoming series is a mystery sci-fi thriller that revolves around an elite scientist who set off for the moon to retrieve some unknown samples from an abandoned research station. The film is based on the short movie in 2014, directed by Choi Hang-yong, which garnered attention at the Mise-en-scene Short Film Festival the same year. Director Choi will also be joining the new Netflix series as the director of the show.

Big names in the production crew will join the team, Jung Woo Sung will lead as the producer. Director Choi Hang Yong, writer Park Eun Kyo who is famous for "Mother." Few of Netflix Kingdom's producers will also participate in making the film.

Actor Gong Yoo will play the character as a soldier who leads the team at the space agency. "Kingdom" star Bae Doo Na will play the role of Ji An, who works as an exploration agent in secrets.

The drama will release eight episodes and will start filming in August.

Bae DooNa is part of the latest hit film produced by Netflix's original series "Kingdom" season 2. A big hit that everyone is still waiting for season 3 next year. Her role gave rise to her popularity and one of the currently sought actresses.
