“Forest of Secrets” Cast Gathers For Script Reading For Its Long-Awaited Season 2
The awaited season 2 of "Forest of Secrets" shared photos of its recent script reading, including Cho Seung Woo, Bae Doona, and more!
Aired in 2017, the first season of "Forest of Secrets" was a hit, which tells the story of a prosecutor who does not seem to have any emotions, named Hwang Si Mok, portrayed by Cho Seung Woo. He teams up with a kind police officer named Han Yeo Jin, portrayed by Bae Doona.
The series earned praises, saying that it was a groundbreaking drama for its genre, and obviously, the viewers wanted more. So, in September of 2019, "Forest of Secrets" announced that a season 2 is in the making.
The script reading was attended by several of the cast members, scriptwriter Lee So Yeon, who also wrote the first season, director Park Hyun Suk, who is new to the drama, and cast members in the first season: Cho Seung Woo, Bae Doona, Yoon Se Ah, Lee Joon Hyuk, Park Sung Geun, Jeon Bae Soo, Choi Jae Woong, and Song Ji Ho. Also, new members were welcomed, such as Choi Moo Sung, Jeon Hye Jin, Kim Young Jae, and Lee Hye Young.
All the cast members and the crew stated that they are very excited to create the new season, hoping that they can bring satisfaction to the viewers who loved the series. Viewers are currently highly anticipating the new season, which will bring joy and scenes in their utmost quality.
As the script reading began, the actors were absorbed in the characters that they were portraying. Cho Seung Woo is still portraying the role of the cold prosecutor and Bae Doona, still portraying the bright energy of Han Yeo Jin. It was said that they were able to show perfect chemistry with each other.
Joining the drama in the second season is Jeon Hye Jin, who will be portraying Choi Bit, the first woman who is the head of intelligence at the National Police Agency.
Entering Choi Moo Sung will be portraying Woo Tae Ha, one of the elite officers at the prosecutor's office. Lee Joon Hyuk will be portraying Seo Dong Jae, a prosecutor who will do anything to reach the top of his career. Yoon Se Ah will be portraying Lee Yeon Jae, Lee Chang Joon's husband, and Hanjo Group's new CEO.
The production team commented that the cast was able to do the first script reading with synergy and they were really professional. Scriptwriter Lee Soo Yeon was able to write a thrilling and exciting script for the drama, together with director Park Hyun Suk, who will be leading the whole crew. The crew stated that they will once again deliver great performances to viewers who loved the first season of the "Forest of Secrets."
Season 2 of "Forest of Secrets" will be premiering in August.
