On June 29, Lotte Entertainment unveiled that Jung Woo Sung will play as the South Korean President Han Kyung Jae in "Steel Rain 2: Summit."

"Steel Rain 2: Summit" is a film about the crisis just before the war after three leaders were abducted by a North Korean nuclear submarine during a North-South American summit.

Starting with '"Beat," "A Moment to Remember," "The Good, The Bad, The Weird," "Cold Eyes," "The Divine Move," "Don't Forget Me," "Asura: The City of Madness," "The King," "Steel Rain," "Innocent Witness," and "Beasts Clawing At Straws," Jung Woo Sung has performed a variety of characters that can prove his brilliance and versatility.

He showed the North Korean elite, who is full of convictions about his country through "Steel Rain." In the sequel, "Steel Rain 2: Summit," he transforms into the President of the Republic of Korea.

Han Kyung Jae, the President of the Republic of Korea, is a figure who struggles to settle peace on the Korean Peninsula of the Cold War amidst the rapidly changing international situation. During the difficult inter-Korean summit, North Korea's nuclear submarine is held in a North Korean coup.

Here, Jung Woo Sung plays the role of the country's leader, who bears the fate of his nation on his shoulders.

Between the sharply confronted North Korean leader and the President of the United States, he sometimes arbitrarily and flexibly intervenes and tries to prevent the impending war.

Jung Woo Sung's three-dimensional acting, which combines the human side as an ordinary father and husband and his daughter's pocket money, leads the center of the play in a balanced way.

Jung Woo Sung said, "As President, I seem to have been concerned about the historical consciousness of looking at the Korean Peninsula, compassion for our people, love, responsibility, etc. In particular, while trying to protect the center of oneself, I paid attention to the psychological portrayal among the leaders."

Director Yang Woo Suk then shared, "We usually think of the President as a distant being, only as a national institution. Through the acting of Jung Woo-sung, the viewers look at the President as a person, not as an institution, and when we look at the inter-Korean issue. I hope you can feel it."

'Steel Rain 2: Summit' is scheduled for release in the summer of 2020.
