Park Seo Joon and Park Sun Young the New Ambassadors of 2020 Census

K-drama superstar Park Seo Joon and former anchorwoman Park Sun Young have been announced as the new ambassadors of the 2020 Census. They were appointed on July 8 at the SKY31 Convention auditorium in Seoul, specifically in Jamsil. Both the celebrities were appointed as the ambassadors of the 2020 Population and Housing Census and also the 2020 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing.

A particular website stated the reasons why Park So Joon is extremely fitted in this role - because he has built an empire of his name through the shows, films, and also the dramas, which made him trustworthy. On the other hand, Park Sung Young made herself trusted through her previous work as an anchor.

Moreover, the site added what the foundation of their organization is about trust and precision and that both the said names have what it takes.

Park Seo Joon stated in an interview that he's glad to be appointed as the 2020 Census ambassador and that he will do his best to have a 100% rate regarding participation. Not only is he up for the challenge, but he will use his name to be a platform to encourage everybody to participate.

He added that it is important for people to know the advantages of having a census and that is the basis or the foundation of law-making in Korea. Further, he said that the information being collected by the Census gives and accurate data with regards to the topics that it tackles.

Park Sun Young added that she feels to have more responsibility not only as a citizen of the country but also as a leader who promotes everybody's participation. She also feels a lot of weight on her shoulders because this is not the first time that she was elected. She was also selected as the ambassador of the 2016 Census. She is willing to go beyond what she is asked and that she wanted to improve and bring changes to their country. 

Both will also attend various activities, whether online or offline, to encourage citizens to participate in the upcoming census.
