A few Korean actors have been on hiatus for more or less than a decade. While they do appear on commercials from time to time, they haven't been on long-term basis projects like movies or drama series. Any photos that appear on social media is like a bar of gold that we tried to scramble and look.
Actors have their reasons why they chose to fade out of the limelight. Some have grown unhappy being in showbiz, while others prioritize other things, such as their families, over their career.

Won Bin
We watched him in his last movie "The Man From Nowhere," which was from ten years ago, which he clinched awards for. But after that, he only participated in CF within the years not doing any drama or film. Actress Lee Na Young, Won Bin's wife, explained that the actor is still trying to choose a project that speaks to his artistic sensibilities. The actor would accept any acting project that he likes rather than made to be a commercial success. In 2019, the actor impressed fans that at age 42, he still exudes such striking visuals. He was spotted in casual attire for a photoshoot for OLZEN.
Ko So Young
She had her debut in 1990 and was active in dramas up until 2007. Within those times, she was not in any project as rumors said that a few of her past series didn't have much success. She married actor Jang Dong Gun in 2010 with star-studded reception held at Seoul Shilla Hotel.
She appeared in 2017 for the drama series "Ms. Perfect." Since then, she never joined any projects. She was seen on social media as she attended her friend's wedding.
Kim Hye Sung
He has been a supporting actor in various Korean drama series. His famous character to remember was in "Unstoppable High Kick." Kim Hye Sung's last drama series was in "Mad Dog," and that was three years ago. No news for his latest project for his fans to watch him onscreen again.
Choi Min Yong
He was known for his character in the hit sitcom "High Kick" 2006. His last drama series the year after "Finding Love" and his film in 2011 "Life is Peachy." He appeared in variety shows last 2018 MBC's "Wizard of Nowhere." No acting projects in discussion for his return.
Seo Ji Hee
She debuted as a child actress and was active from 2001 to 2015 with repeated acting projects in a year. Her last drama was "I Have A Lover" (2015) and her last movie was "The Con Artist" (2014).
