Announcer Couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk Suffer Neck and Arm Injuries After Car Accident
On July 27, celebrity announcer couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk suffered multiple injuries in the neck and arms due to a DUI (Drinking Under the Influence) driver on a highway in Gyeongbu.
The accident happened when a freight truck weighing not far from 2.5 tons lost control and swerved uncontrollably, causing it to hit a vehicle that was said to be a Volvo coming from a different direction. It happened at about 8:39 p.m. KST and was recently revealed that the man driving the truck was intoxicated with alcohol.
The Volvo included four people according to news sources. The Volvo passengers were celebrity couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk together with their two kids. The family said that they were on their way home from a family vacation in Busan. As they were on their way back to Seoul, the freighted truck crashed their car out of nowhere. The Volvo was said to be driven by announcer Choi Dong Suk.
Despite the family complaining about abdominal and finger pains, the couple fortunately only suffered minor injuries, including neck and wrist wounds. Their children, who were also in their car during the horrible accident, thankfully, only had small bruises and scratches. The family survived the accident with a few minor injuries and was directly sent to the hospital to get further treatment.
Police officers are currently investigating the driving accident against the drunk driver, who was seriously hurt in the accident. He suffered a broken leg and was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment.
According to sources, the drunk driver's blood had 0.08% alcohol content.
Several fans have wished a fast recovery for celebrity couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk and both of their children. As per the recent news, popular Korean rapper Cheetah reportedly announced that the Korean rapper was almost hit by the same drunk driver who hit Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk. Fortunately, she swerved to avoid bumping the truck and immediately reported it to the police.
The drunk driver is said to suffer consequences once the police finish investigating the reason as to why he was intoxicated with alcohol and driving a freight truck at the same time.
