WATCH: Kim Hee Sun and Joo Won in Stirring Teaser for Upcoming Sci-Fi Drama "Alice"
A new video teaser of Kim Hee Sun and Joo Won's suspenseful characters in the upcoming SBS's action-packed drama "Alice" has been released.
The scene gives a peek at the science-fiction drama stars Joo Won in character as Park Jin Gyeom, a detective who came across time travel and ends up encountering a woman who resembles his dead mother.
Kim Hee Sun is portrayed as Yoon Tae Yi, a fierce scientist and physics professor. She resembles Park Jin Gyeom's mother, who was murdered. She works hard to prove the true existence of time travel.
In the teaser video, Park Jin Gyeom narrated as time travelers landed at present from different elements or the future. In another scene, a man advised he came from the future, and that is 2050.
With full packed action scenes, Kim Hee Sun shows ability in action scenes. Her words with determination can be heard, "Nobody can mess with my son." The teaser shows lead stars and the time travelers fighting over whom to control time and those who are protecting the present.
Yoon Tae Yi's character as a physics professor at a famous university is a genius scientist as well who works hard in getting evidence proving that time travelers may invade and arrive anytime.The exciting part will be a dual role for Kim Hee Sun on the upcoming drama that will make the story more thrilling and mysterious.
At the end of the teaser, Park Jin Gyeom is running after to catch the culprit who killed his mother. He then threatens someone by saying, "You're responsible for my mother's death. I will kill all of you with my own hands." He vows to get revenge for his mother's death and as well protect someone he cares at present.
Both actors reveal a glimpse of several action-packed fight scenes and the emotions as they show on the characters they portray.
Joo Won's character is a ruthless detective with less emotions. In one of his interviews, he commented that it was a bit hard to portray the inner emotions with less expressions and cold faces the whole time. But he tried to work and convey it through Park Jin's gaze and those moments when he is happy.
Life changed for him when he grew up and when his mother died while in his arms. This is what Joo Won used to boil down the character of Park Jin Gyeom.
Meanwhile, Kim Hee Sun indeed showed off her hard work in the drama "Alice." She will play a dual character with the same face, one with age in her 20s and the other is in her 40s.
According to the production staff, the actress poured all her passion and desire to make her performance extraordinary from her previous dramas.
"Alice" premieres on August 28 at 10:00 p.m. KST.
