tvN's "Record of Youth" aired for the first time on the 7th and received a favorable response from viewers making it number one on its time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of "Record of Youth" reached a rating of 7.8% on average in the metropolitan area. It targeted viewership on ratings of men and women with the age from 20-49 years old. The drama ranked first in all channels including terrestrial broadcasting.
The new series takes on the top drama on Monday-Tuesday time slot.

The first episode showed Sa Hye Joon, played by Park Bo Gum, trying to work hard and achieve his dream in life. For seven years, he climbed to be in the sought-after models in the fashion industry. However, his agency and manager didn't give him his hard earned money. Without getting the money from his previous events, he decided to terminate his contract with the agency.
He tried his best to audition in any acting projects to become an actor someday. In his quest to be in the entertainment industry, he accepted to be a private security of a well-known actor, which ended him being beaten up.
Hye Joon is not ashamed to take any job like working in a sandwich shop just to earn money for his family. His family is expecting a lot from him, which frustrates him a lot.
On the other hand, Won Hae Hyo played by Byeon Woo Seok comes from a wealthy family who is also a model and Hye Joon's good friend. He acquired a good profile in the fashion industry because of his family's reputation.
Ahn Jung Ha, played by Park So Dam, is an aspiring makeup artist who adores Hye Joon. She enjoyed and followed his social media account each day, dreaming to meet him someday. Dreams come true, and she meets him in an event and becomes his makeup artist.
