From Being A Diver to An ICU Nurse, Shin Min Ah Will Possibly Star in New Medical Drama
Your favorite actress, Shin Min Ah, may possibly star in new medical drama. A new drama is yet to come into our screens and this time it's gonna bring a story full of medical professionals, syringes, patients, and nurses!
Titled "I Am A Nurse, a Human", it will follow a story based on an essay written by a real-life nurse Kim Hyun Ah. Having to experience the difficult job herself, Kim Hyun Ah as a nurse worked in the neurosurgical intensive care unit where she was able to take care of several patients for 21 years and 2 months since 1996.
Shin Min Ah, who starred as a diver in the soon-to-air Korean thriller movie "Diva" this September 23rd, is yet again given the opportunity to portray the lead role of the new medical drama. According to the confirmation report of Ilgan Sports on September 9, Shin Min Ah was offered to play the role of Park Hee Ae who works as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse, having an impressive experience of 15 years.
However, Shin Min Ah's agency responded by saying that the actress has received an offer to star in it, but nothing has been accepted or confirmed yet.
The role of Park Hee Ae is said to be a nurse that experiences several challenges in her profession. She puts her game face on before she enters the hospital and experiences several meltdowns before she leaves work. When a patient's guardian gets the chance to abuse her, she promises herself that she will never take abuse from people who don't acknowledge her hard work and kindness to her patients ever again.
Screenwriter Kim Hyun Ah's goal is to emphasize that nurses are more human than what their profession calls them to be. She aims to tell viewers that nurses strive and work hard to give the best health care to each of their patients, but it's not the definition of their being. The story will give light to heartwarming and sad scenes that nurses go through as they show their courage and resilience to their patients.
Most importantly, it will give light to the common belief of people that nurses are less than pathologists and medical doctors which will hopefully eradicate the stereotypical perspective that most people have on nurses.
This medical drama will yet again not only bring a story for entertainment , but really give off a meaningful story about the lives of nurses which will leave viewers more appreciative of what they do. Fans think that actress Shin Min Ah would perfectly fit the role of Park Hee Ae as she also is a hard working person! Fans are anticipating Shin Min Ah's response to the offer and hope that she will soon accept.
Besides this, the actress was also confirmed to play a role in new drama "HERE", but was temporarily cancelled due the inability to film abroad because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
