Blumhouse Production Asks Korean Fans To Name Their Upcoming Horror Film
The famous American horror film production company 'Blumhouse Production' (hereinafter referred to as Blumhouse) commissioned their Korean fans to create a Korean title for the new movie. Also, they even put out a pure gold trophy as a prize.
Universal Pictures, which imports and distributes Blumhouse's new work 'FREAKY,' said, "The Korean version of Blumhouse's new title-making event 'Show Me The Title' will be held on the CGV event page from the 20th."
For this event, if you apply for titles with comments, 5 titles that have been highly recommended and 5 selected by Universal Pictures and CGV are selected for the first round. Afterward, five of them will be selected through voting, and the final title will be announced on Halloween Day on the 31st.
The final title selected as the first place will be directly selected by director Christopher Landon, who directed 'FREAKY' and will be used as the official title in Korea later.
Also, the first place protagonist will be given the world's only pure gold Blumhouse Trophy. Various benefits such as movie advance tickets are also provided to the first 10,000 people who participated during the application period. Blumhouse's founder Jason Blum said in a video released along with the event announcement, "I am sincerely grateful for always loving and supporting our Blumhouse films. Let's meet again in Korea."
'FREAKY' is a comical slasher movie about the story of a serial killer and an ordinary high school girl changing their bodies. The film is a work in collaboration with Blumhouse once again by director Landon, who hit the worldwide box office jackpot of $125 million with Blumhouse's low-budget horror movie ''Happy Death Day'' in 2017.
On the other hand, Blumhouse is a horror movie production company that has released hits such as 'Insidious' and 'The Purge' series, and the 'Paranormal Activity' series. In particular, it has a reputation for its ability to create creative works with a small budget.
