CJ ENM Confirms Release of New Film "Collectors" on November 4
CJ Entertainment confirmed the release of their newest movie Collectors on November 4. The film will be starring Lee Je Hoon, Jo Woo Jin, Shin Hye Sun, and Im Won Hee.
Collectors is a crime comedy film directed by Park Jung Bae, his first feature film. The tomb robbery inspired film is the first-ever movie in Korea to ever showcase an exceptional story. Collectors will star Lee Je Hoon, Jo Woo Jin, Shin Hye Sun, and Im Won Hee.
Lee Je Hoon will be playing the role of Kang Dong Goo, a professional thief with an outstanding performance in robbing ancient treasures and graves. Lee just recently as Jun Seok in the Korean action drama Time to Hunt, where the movie shows the dystopian version of Seoul. He also participated in Hot Stove League in 2019 with Nam Goong In and Park Eun Bin. Fans are looking forward to the humorous version of Lee Je Hoon for Collectors.
The Korean version of Indiana Jones will be played by Jo Woo Jin as Dr. Jones. In the film, Dr. Jones is someone that can be considered as an expert and legendary when it comes to tomb murals. Jo Woo Jin is a part of the cast in Incarnation of Money in 2013. He also partook in the popular series Goblin: The Lonely and Great God in 2017 with Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, and Yoo In Na. He also starred along with Yoo Ah In and Im Soo Jung in Chicago Typewriter in 2017. In 2018, Jo joined the cast of the historical drama, Mr. Sunshine, with Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri.
Shin Hye Sun will be playing the role of Curator Yoon, considered as an elite for her abilities. When Yoon acknowledged Kang Dong Goo's skills in robbing, she offered him an enticing yet risky deal that will ignite the adventures of the group.
Shin Hye Sun made her acting debut in School 2013 together with the big stars of Korea, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin, and Jang Na Ra. A year after that Shin cast as one of the main leads in One Summer Night with Lee Cho Hee and Go Kyung Pro. She also played as one of the main characters in Five Enough in 2016. In 2019, she played as Yeon Seo, a ballerina in a drama series Angel's Last Mission: Love with INFINITE's L (Kim Myung Soo). Earlier this year, Shin showed her exceptional acting skills in a crime drama film Innocence. Through the years, Shin exhibits her versatility in acting. In the movie Collectors, fans are hoping to see lighter and brighter character of Shin Hye Sun.
Im Won Hee will be playing the role of Sabdari, a legend, and an expert when it comes to shoveling abilities. Sabdari completes a wonderful and colorful team that has outstanding chemistry. Im said in the press conference that just after he finished reading the script, he already fell for the character. Im is remarkable with his notable performance as a supporting character in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon in 2017 and Dr. Romantic in 2016.
Director Park Jung Bae expressed his excitement for the viewers to watch his first-ever feature film. Park also said that the movie was made with wild yet realistic imaginations adding the artistry to complete the chemistry of the film.
Collectors will be released on November 4.
