Elderly Couple Fined by Court after Coming into Rain's Home Demanding for Money
Reports have been circulating that the court fined an elderly couple in their 70's after causing a fuss at Rain's home!
The couple was reportedly asking to pay them back the money that Rain's father owned them 20 years ago. On Dec. 16, according to the legal circles, the senior judge at the Seoul Western District Court named Yoo Chang Hoon fined a man (aged 79) and his wife (aged 73) to the amount of 700,000 KRW (642 USD) each.
The old couple claimed that the father of the famous singer and actor who is identified as Mr. Jung (his surname) had availed rice through credit at their shop located in Yongsan District, Seoul. The incident happened more than 20 years ago, and the couple claimed that Rain's father never paid back his debt.
So the couple decided to go at the actor's house since his parents live with him. It was said that Rain's father refused to meet them, so this triggered their anger, and they yelled out, "Payback the debt you own us for the rice," and the couple also hit the front gate numerous times which broke the door lock that was worth 200,000 KRW (182 USD). When thelock was broken, the couple forced the door open and trespassed in the property until they reached the house's front lawn.

Before this incident, the elderly couple posted a message on an online community dating back to 2018. The message states their accusations against Rain's parents, claiming that they owe them money. They said that Rain's parents once own a rice cake shop, and to run their business, they borrowed 25 million KRW (23,000 USD) worth of rice from the couple. Rain's parents made a promise to pay back what they owned, but they never did.
In September 2019, an elderly man reportedly filed a legal case against Mr. Jung for 50 million KRW (45,900 USD), but he lost the case in January 2020. Rain then filed for an injunction against the man in February 2020.
It seems that Rain's peaceful home has been getting some disturbance. In October 2020, reports were released that the celebrity felt bothered by people who keep coming to their house. Due to this, his agency issued a strong warning to the people stalking the celebrity's house.

The actor's agency once shared that due to some inappropriate behavior by those people who are disturbing Rain's home, the celebrity, as well as his family, are experiencing anxiety at the place where they should feel the most comfortable. With regards to this issue, Sublime Artist Agency and Rain ask these people to stop bothering the actor's peaceful home. They issued a warning that if the unnecessary behavior continues; Rain's agency will not hesitate to take all possible legal actions to protect the artist and his family.
