Ryu Shi Won Charged With 8 Months In Prison

The Prosecutor's Office charged actor Ryu Shi Won with eight months in prison for assaulting, threatening, and tracking the location of his wife.

The Fifth Criminal Department of the Seoul Central District Court (Judge Lee Jong Un) in the afternoon of November 8, 2013, in the West Building No. 422 conducted a trial on Ryu Shi Won for the alleged assault and detention of the accused.

The Prosecutor's Office said, "Compared with other trials involving tracking the location of the accused, this is a very light charge."

Ryu Shi Won's attorney said in reply, "As a celebrity, being defamed with an assault case that the person did not commit is a very painful thing," denying the alleged assault.

Ryu Shi Won is to be sentenced in November 29, 2013, at the Seoul Central District Court.
