‘Mr.Queen’ Star Na In Woo to Possibly Replace Ji Soo as On Dal in ‘River Where the Moon Rises’

With his unbelievable acting performance in the mega hit drama "Mr.Queen," actor Na In Woo is in talks to portray the character of On Dal in the ongoing series "River Where the Moon Rises" in replacement of Ji Soo.

Na In Woo Could be the Next On Dal in the Drama "River When the Moon Rises"

After KBS officially announced that Ji Soo would be leaving the drama "River Where the Moon Rises," the management also made a thorough discussion on who will be replacing him as On Dal in the said ongoing series.

It was earlier this week that the 28-year-old actor was accused of multiple issues of bullying and school violence, and on the same week, Ji Soo already spoke about the allegations. On March 4, he personally posted on his Instagram account a handwritten letter of apology for his wrongdoings in the past. The controversies pertaining to the actor gain various comments from the netizens.

As a result of the issue, the producers of "River Where the Moon Rises" immediately cancelled their shooting schedule, and shared that they would be arranging a meeting to discuss how they will proceed following the controversy and given that all the actors and crew had already completed almost 95 percent of filming for the 20 episodes of the drama.

Na In Woo is Positively Considering the Drama Offer

On March 5, an official from KBS released a statement regarding the current situation of the drama production. According to the representative, "Actor Ji Soo, who has previously become the center of controversies will be stepping down from the drama 'River Where the Moon Rises." He continued, "And as of now, we are currently still discussing with the production company about on what to do next in order to continue working with the drama"

The same day, Na In Woo's home agency Cube Entertainment also released a statement confirming that their artist was in talks to be part of the drama cast, "Our artist Na In Woo has received an offer to join 'River Where the Moon Rises' in the role of On Dal, and he is currently reviewing the offer."

Meanwhile, the team is also discussing whether to air or not the upcoming episodes seven and eight of the drama that was supposed to kick-off on March 8 and 9. Stay tuned for more updates.

On the other hand, if Na In Woo accepts the offer as the new On Dal, the cast and crew will have to reshoot lots of scenes in order to build the new character of On Dal again. Many are already expecting Na In Woo's return on the drama scene. After the viewers saw his magnificent acting skills in the drama "Mr.Queen," they are aiming to see more of Na In Woo's project in the future, and this may be a sign for him to show again a new side of his character.

This will mark his first-ever drama lead role. In fact, Na In Woo is also confirmed to have a movie coming this 2021. A webtoon-based film titled "Her Bucketlist" joining him in the project is actress Kim So Hye.
