‘King’s Family’ Han Joo Wan – Lee Yoon Ji Separate With Tears Because of Family Opposition
On the 22nd episode of KBS 2TV weekend drama "King's Family" (script Moon Myung Nam, director Jin Hyung Wook), Choi Sang Nam (played by Han Joo Wan and Wang Kwang Back (played by Lee Yoon Ji) faced push-back from each other's families.
Choi Sang Nam learned of the bad relationship with Wang Gwang Back through his father Choi De Seh as as Choi De Seh was against Wang Gwang Back, he said, "I don't care about you dad and I'll be living alone. I'm not going to let another year go by. I'd like to persuade you before then but even if not, whatever" and decided to go ahead with his marriage.
In between all of that, Choi De Seh called Wang Gwang Back and asked, "I'm asking you. Please don't ever meet my son again." Choi Sang Nam who learned of this was even more upset. Choi Sang Nam said to his father, "How could you do this? Couldn't you trust me and meet her once? How do you reject someone who came to our house?" and exploded.
Choi De Seh was extremely upset at his son's statement and proceeded to hit him. However, despite his father's opposition, he only thought about Wang Kwang Back. He comforted her and went to her house because he thought she could have been hurt. Choi Sang Nam later learned that Wang Kwang Back's family wasn't fond of him.
Choi Sang Nam said to Wang Gwang Back, "How could you hide something like this" and was devastated. Choi Sang Nam proceeded to say, "Let's break up. I can win my father but I'm so inept compared to you. You and I are so different' as he separated with tears.
