After 3 years of waiting, the much-awaited romantic-comedy drama, starring SNSD's Sooyoung, Choi Tae Joon, and 2PM's Chansung, is about to meet the audience this 2021.

Korean Adaptation of "So I Married an Anti-Fan" to Premiere Sometime this 2021

A Korean remake of the hit Chinese film "So I Married an Anti-Fan" is finally coming this 2021. Chinese streaming platform iQIYI dropped the first trailer of their newest project.

On April 16, the fans who have been waiting for the release of the said series got the chance to see a glimpse of the story and characters that they are looking forward to watching.

"So I Married an Anti-Fan" tells the story of the unexpected romance between a Korean superstar and an anti-fan. Choi Tae Joon is Ho Joon, an A-list and famous K-Pop idol who'll find himself entangled with his notorious anti-fan Lee Geun Young to be played by SNSD's Sooyoung.

Despite his rude and cold appearance, the known superstar turns out to have a warm and kind personality.

After he met Lee Geun Young, Ho Joon started to show his true self to her and began to quietly take care of her.

Meanwhile, 2PM member and "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" actor, Chansung, is expected to portray the character of Ho Joon's longtime friend named JJ. But due to jealousy, JJ will become the great rival of Ho Joon in his life and career.

Joining them in the drama is actress Han Ji An, who will be playing the role of Oh In Hyung, a struggling actress who will be torn between JJ and Ho Joon, whom she finds helpful in her career as an artist.

"So I Married an Anti-Fan" was originally finished last 2018 but did not have any specific release date due to some circumstances. And this 2021, iQIYI is proud to present that they will be the one to produce the said series.

In 2016, EXO member Chanyeol starred in a film adaptation of "So I Married an Anti-Fan" and was loved by the fans and viewers. Chinese actress Yuan Shanshan was his leading lady in the movie. Girls' Generation's Seohyun also appeared as the character of Irene.

This drama marks Choi Tae Joon's return on the small screen following his 2017 series "Suspicious Partner," alongside Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun.

Idol-turned-actress Choi Sooyoung is about to meet her fans again with this new romantic drama following the success of her 2021 project "Run On." The Girls' Generation member will be showing her sweet and friendly side in "So I Married an Anti-Fan," a persona that was far from his previous role as Seo Dan Ah (Run On).
