‘Taxi Driver’ Star Pyo Ye Jin to Join Cast of Upcoming K-Drama ‘Youth, Climb the Barrier’
Pyo Ye Jin is set to appear in a new K-drama, "Youth, Climb the Barrier."
Following the success of her crime-thriller SBS series "Taxi Driver," the 29-year-old actress has accepted the offer to be one of the cast members of the upcoming historical romance drama.

Interestingly, she will be joining Park Hyung Shik and Jeon So Nee, who are still in talks to be the lead stars.
To recall, Jeon So Nee's agency Management SOOP shared last June that the "When My Love Blooms" actress has received the offer and is "currently finalizing the details."
The same goes for the "Suits" star who has been courted to be the male lead back in March.
If the two accept the offer, the 30-year-old actress will take the role of Min Jae Yi, who is set to marry the Second State Councillor's son.
Meanwhile, Park Hyung Shik is set to play the role of Prince Lee Hwan, who is suffering from a mysterious curse.
Although the final lineup of the cast is yet to be announced, the forthcoming K-drama "Youth, Climb the Barrier" will be helmed by "100 Days My Prince" director Lee Jong Jae.
In addition, the drama will be written by veteran screenwriter Jung Hyun Jung, whose famous works include "Romance Is a Bonus Book," "Discovery of Love," and "Lovestruck in the City."
The soon-to-be-released tvN series is Pyo Ye Jin's next project after the mega-hit K-drama "Taxi Driver," which is also set to return for season two.
In the SBS drama, the 29-year-old actress played the Rainbow Taxi team's resident hacker Ahn Go Eun, who works alongside the secret vigilante crime fighter Kim Do Ki, portrayed by Lee Je Hoon.
Now that "Taxi Driver 2" has been confirmed, several fans are hopeful that the original characters, including Pyo Ye Jin's role, will be reprised.
To recall, the season 1 finale ended with a major cliffhanger after Prosecutor Kang Ha Na, played by Esom, was introduced as the new member of the group.

There's no denying that her role as the skilled hacker Ahn Go Eun is one of her breakthrough performances since she made her acting debut for the 2014 musical film "Miss Granny."
Did you know that her previous work is far from being an actress? Prior to entering showbiz, Pyo Ye Jin used to be a flight attendant for Korean Air.
In her recent appearance in the MBC variety show "I Live Alone," she recalled her experience as a flight steward.
She revealed that although her job may be fun at times, there are still moments when she felt "suffocated" and did not see herself working as a flight attendant for years.
"After thinking about what I could do well in, I wanted to be an actress," she added.
