'The Red Sleeve Cuff' Episode 1: Yi San and Sung Deok Im Become Each Others' Support

"The Red Sleeve Cuff" episode 1 introduced the first encounter of Crown Prince Yi San (Lee Junho) and Sung Deok Im (Lee Se Young) during the burial of the crown princess. Both of them got lost in the middle of their journey but found each other to guide and help each other.

Though they were still young and not yet prepared for big responsibilities, Yi San was glad to have met Sung Deok Im during one of the darkest times in his life.

• The Drowning Crown Prince

"The Red Sleeve Cuff" episode 2 was packed with Lee Se Young and Lee Junho moments that satisfied the viewers with their undeniable chemistry.

While busy discussing their next plan to catch the tiger, Yi San heard someone coming his way. The next thing he knew, he was already dragged in the pond by a court lady. It was Sung Deok Im, who accidentally pushed the crown prince.

His two companions didn't have a chance to save the drowning Yi San. Sung Deok Im, who tried to help the crown prince, keep on dragging him again into the water, which made him lose his balance.

Due to their unexpected encounter, the crown prince asked her to make an apology letter.

His accident gate crashing inside the library made Sung Deok Im wonder who Yi San was. Even though they met during the pond incident, the two failed to recognize each other.

Their library encounter signaled the start of their never-ending bickering moments.

Yi San even disguised himself as Hong Dong Rok, which Sung Deok Im knew as the crown prince teacher. She thought about the rumors that spread in the palace that Dong Rok is the most good-looking guy and not the crown prince, and this pissed Yi San.

• Apology Letter

As promised to the crown prince, Sung Deok Im went to the palace to pass her first apology letter. Trembling and nervous, the court lady unknowingly read the letter instead of passing it to the crown prince.

When Yi San finally received the letter, he immediately recognized the penmanship of the lady. He took a glance at her and found out that she was Sung Deok Im, the lady who had been pestering him in the library.

The crown prince gave a devilish smile, making his guards confused. Instead of accepting her apology, the crown prince looked for mistakes in the letter, which made Seok Im repeat writing it.

The court lady was already tired of doing it all over again, but it seems like Yi San was enjoying the process. He likes giving Sung Deok Im petty punishments as an act of revenge.
