Lee Kwang Soo and AOA Seolhyun are Detective Buddies in 'The Killer's Shopping List'
Based on a novel of the same name written by Kang Ji Young, "The Killer's Shopping List" depicts the crime comedy story of the ordinary neighborhood, which turns into a crime scene when a mysterious body is found near an apartment building.
The only evidence to the murder? The killer's shopping list! Because of this, the hunt for the murderer begins.
Lee Kwang Soo transforms as Ahn Dae Sung in the drama. He's the son of the supermarket owner Jung Myung Sook (Jin Hee Kyung).
Dae Sung was once a genius with exemplary memorization skills, but his life took a drastic change after an incident took place at his mother's supermarket when he was 10 years old. In spite of his cognitive skills, he failed the civil service exams for three consecutive years.
The drama stars AOA Seolhyun as Do Ah Hee, a passionate police officer and Dae Sung's beautiful girlfriend since they were young.

The first ever published stills depict Dae Sung and Ah Hee, who is dressed in her police uniform, patrolling their small neighborhood while looking for clues about the murder.
"The Killer's Shopping List" is expected to give nostalgic feelings of the viewers' memories of the local supermarket. It's a drama that can be enjoyed by families and friends of all ages.
Director Lee Eon Hee's Disclaimer Ahead of 'The Killer's Shopping List' Premiere
Lee Eon Hee, the director, clarifies that "The Killer's Shopping List" isn't about a huge supermarket chain, but a small minimart enough for one person to operate on their own.
The production team used a real supermarket that had closed down operations. They aim to emphasize the lives of the supermarket workers who become acquainted with everyone who goes in and out of the supermarket, any time of the day.
Through the locals' purchases, the supermarket store owners could know a customer better than their own families and friends.
The supermarket is used by everyone in their daily lives, but it will also be used to cater a harrowing incident in the drama.
Lee Kwang Soo and AOA Seolhyun's Casting Story
When asked about what kind of story he wants to portray, director Lee Eon Hee answered with enthusiasm, saying, "When you think of buying a tool to use in killing someone, you might think of a knife. But you can also kill someone with wooden chopsticks, which can also be found in a regular grocery store."
"I wanted to show the various stories contained in the hidden elements in locations that we see everyday," he added.
About working with Lee Kwang Soo and AOA Seolhyun, who are both excellent at their job, Lee Eon Hee showered the lead actors praises and compliments.
The director and Lee Kwang Soo worked together in "The Accidental Detective 2: In Action" before, in which he learns that the actor is a great person and actor at the same time.

"Dae Sung is a unique character, so I chose an actor that I had a lot of confidence in," Lee Eon Hee said as a matter-of-factly, "He makes Dae Sung into a lovable character no matter what he does."
The director describes Seol Hyun as "an actress who makes a drama brighter," which is the sole reason for casting her as Ah Hee. According to him, he first saw Seol Hyun as a Nike model rather than an actress.
On the other hand, tvN's "The Killer's Shopping List" is scheduled to air in the first half of 2022.
