The most popular movie actors for January 2022 have been revealed, and stars Lee Jung Jae and Choi Woo Sik topped this month's results!

The Korean Business Research Institute revealed on January 31 the list of Korean stars included in the list of most popular movie actors for January 2022, or the Movie Actors Brand Rankings for the month.

The data were gathered through analysis of the viewers participation, interaction, media coverage, and community awareness indexes from December 31, 2021 to January 31, 2022 determined the artists rankings.

'Squid Game,' 'Our Beloved Summer' Stars Enter List of Most Popular Movie Actors For January 2022

Following consistent recognition from various prestigious awarding events and multiple mentions online and in news articles, "Squid Game" lead Lee Jung Jae rose to no. 1, with a brand reputation index of 9,840,853.

Lee Jung Jae's keywords include "Squid Game," "World Expo 2030 Busan," and "You Quiz on the Block," while the related terms included in his name are "heartwarming," "surpass," and "promote."

K-Drama heartthrob and Wooga Squad member Choi Woo Sik secures the second spot. He is also the most buzzworthy K-Drama actor for the month of January.

His increasing popularity is due to leading the SBS romance series "Our Beloved Summer," alongside Kim Da Mi.

Another "Squid Game" star made it to the top five. It's none other than veteran actor Oh Young Soo, who recently won a trophy at the Golden Globe Awards as Best Supporting Actor for his exceptional performance in the said phenomenal K-Drama.
