Lee Won Geun Talks About Psychopath Role in New Thriller Drama ‘A Superior Day’

Kwon Si Woo is Lee Won Geun's First Villain Role
OCN's "A Superior Day," which is slated to premiere this month, introduces Lee Won Geun, who takes the role of Kwon Si Woo, a brutal serial killer disguising as a soft, compassionate person.
He said it was an honor for him to be able to work with a hardworking director, writer, and great seniors who helped him while filming the drama.
Lee Won Geun mentioned even though he started filming during winter, he was grateful for his co-stars and the crew for building a warm atmosphere for everyone.

His character as Kwon Si Woo is a psychopath who hides his vicious nature behind a perfect appearance and lives amongst people. As a person who lives wearing a mask thoroughly, the young actor shared about his preparation in portraying the role.
How Lee Won Geun Prepared for His Character in 'A Superior Day'
To be fully immersed in his character, Lee Won Geun shared:
"I researched a lot so my character could give a cool feeling even in a pure and kind appearance. I acted with the single message in mind, 'I am superior' no matter what the situation or character I face."
The "One the Woman" star added that he wanted to feel the true identity of Kwon Si Woo and practiced even the smallest actions and facial expressions to give a more detailed performance to viewers.
Lee Won Geun to Play as Psychopath in New Thriller Drama ‘A Superior Day’
As it will be his first villain role, Lee Won Geun was challenged to work hard. For him, Kwon Si Woo is a character that is like homework and a goal.
The "Cheer Up!" star also pointed out his chemistry with Jin Goo and Ha Do Kwon, whom he will work with in "A Superior Day."
Meanwhile, the thriller series is gaining more attention on its first and highly-anticipated first week broadcast.
Furthermore, "A Superior Day" follows the story of a 24-hour runway thriller in which only the most superior survive, and in which an ordinary man must kill the serial killer living next door to save his kidnapped daughter.
The forthcoming series will start its regular broadcast on March 13 at 10:30 p.m. (KST) on OCN.
