'Dream' Release Date, Cast and Everything We Know About Park Seo Joon's New Movie
As mentioned, he is in Hungary to film a forthcoming sports-themed movie with IU. This comes after a series of delays following Park Seo Joon's COVID-19 diagnosis.
At the time, his agency, Awesome Entertainment, shared to Star Today that he will return to South Korea "after wrapping up filming in March."
In addition, the media outlet also cited that the "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" star is the last to join the team as the cast and crew had previously departed on different groups.
The movie is helmed by Lee Byung Hun, who is the man behind the action mystery movie "Extreme Job" and the 2019 rom-com "Be Melodramatic." The upcoming movie depicts the lives of hopefuls who are attempting to score an annual soccer event known as the Homeless World Cup.
Park Seo Joon took on the role of Yoon Hong Dae. He is once a famous athlete who was caught up in a controversy. He faced disciplinary action and was barred from playing.
He then becomes a soccer coach to a team of inexperienced players as they try to enter the Homeless World Cup.
"Pinocchio's" Lee Jong Sook and "Cheese in the Trap" star Seo Kang Joon was initially offered to play Yoon Hong Dae, but Park Seo Joon eventually got the part.
Interestingly, this is also his comeback film after the blockbuster movie "The Divine Fury" in 2019. He portrayed boxer Park Yong Hoo.
Apart from "Dream," Park Seo Joon will appear in multiple projects in the coming years. It includes his film with Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo Young in "Concrete Utopia." He has a Hollywood debut project with Brie Larson for "The Marvels," and his K-drama comeback with Han So Hee and Wo Ha Joon for "K Project."
