On the 10th episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama "Empress Ki" (script Jang Young Chul, Jung Gyung Soon, director Han Hee, Lee Sung Joon), Ki Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won) catches onto Tansili (played by Baek Jin Hee)'s hidden motives.
On this day, Tansili tries to find a Koreo dynasty court maid under Lady Park that could know how to read and starts to test them. She then calls Ki Seung Nyang and ordered her not to look at the document to be delivered to the chief, but Ki Seung Nyang looks at it anyway.
Ki Seung Nyang reads it and sees, "Kill whoever delivers this message" and is perplexed but at once, she realizes Tansili's strategy.
As Ki Seung Nyang realizes that Tanasili had no reason to kill her, she thinks, "This is a test. She's trying to test me" and figured out Tanasili's intent at once.
As the chief to whom the message was delivered changed the content of the message, Ki Seung Nyang certainly realized that this was a test.
In the end, Ki Seung Nyang survives these moments of death because she didn't expose the fact that Tansili was the one who gave her the message and avoided the risks of death.
