In an exclusive report cited by SpoTV News, the versatile actor is offered to play a lead character.

If Yoo Ji Tae accepts the role, he will play the unstoppable Jo Heon, the head of the Metropolitan Investigation Unit.

He is responsible for tracking down vigilantes who are receiving the spotlight from the media instead of the police force.

While the webtoon-based series create the cast lineup, Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Joo Hyuk are yet to confirm if they will join "Vigilante."

Back in April, after wrapping up his K-drama "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" with Kim Tae Ri, the actor was selected to play one of the main characters.

At the time, Sports Chosun shared that the South Korean heartthrob might return for a new drama.

Nam Joo Hyuk's agency confirmed the reports noting that he is "positively reviewing the offer to star in 'Vigilante.'"

The 28-year-old actor is expected to portray Kim Ji Yong, a police university student whose reason for entering the academy is vengeance.

He wants to avenge his parents and hunt down their enemy. However, he was offered another task: to be a vigilante, punish criminals, and criticize law enforcement's lenient process.

In addition, Lee Joon Hyuk is also offered to appear as the lead character, who has a significant role in Kim Ji Yong's life.

On May 12, Sports Chosun revealed that his agency, Ace Factory, confirmed that the actor received an offer to appear in "Vigilante" and is positively reviewing the project.

Lee Joon Hyuk's character will be DK Group's vice president Jo Kang Ok, who is the man behind the vigilantes.

Interestingly, Jo Kang Ok's reason for creating a vigilante stems from his childhood.

During his younger years, he had an obsession with superheroes not until he saw the brutal reality of criminals and innocent civilians.
