Broadcast media TVING's original mystery series "Rose Mansion" was caught in an animal abuse controversy after it aired its recent episode.

"Rose Mansion" is a mystery-thriller drama that centers around the story of a woman who's looking for her sister who mysteriously disappeared in the Rose Mansion Apartment.
The episode included a graphic and violent scene where a cat was killed mercilessly. As the news blew up, the production unit of the drama took immediate action and took down the episode.

On Wednesday, May 18, the side of "Rose Mansion" released an official statement, apologizing for the concerning content. The production unit assured the fans and viewers that there were no cats harmed during the filming.
"The production unit adjusted the scenes so that they can be filmed without animals, but only with the help of CGI," they stated.

They shared that a trained cat was hired to portray the animal in the drama perfectly, and was filmed with the guidance of a professional.
"Rose Mansion" proceeded filming without any sadistic acts done to any animal. They also added that they prepared cat protection equipment to minimize its stress.
"We apologize for concerning scenes in the recent episode," they said. "Following the advice of viewers, the scenes will be deleted and uploaded once again immediately."
As for the cat, it was mobilized for the filming but is now under safety, protected with follow-up checkups and more.
On the other hand, Yoon Kyun Sang and Lim Ji Yeon's "Rose Mansion" has four episodes currently, which were released on Friday, May 13.

Lim Ji Yeon plays the role of Ji Na, a hotel employee whose sister vanished unprecedentedly. Together, the two team up to find the missing person while discovering secrets buried under the apartment.

"Rose Mansion" is directed and written by Yoo Gap Yeol for TVING, which produced the international hit series "Chronicles of Evil," "Crime City" and "Battle of the Villains.
