Kim Sae Ron took to social media as she expressed her apology following the car accident resulting in DUI (driving under the influence) charges.
Kim Sae Ron Instagram: Actress Posts Handwritten Apology Following the DUI Incident
On her Instagram, the actress shared a handwritten letter explaining her side and showing how she feels sorry for the inconvenience it caused to others.
Kim Sae Ron began her statement by apologizing for taking it some time to address the issue.
"The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" star admitted that she was in her drunken state after causing "an accident damaging public property in Gangnam, which she mentioned was a huge "mistake."
Moreover, she also pointed out that her "wrong judgment and behavior" brought major inconvenience to so many people, including merchants in nearby shops, citizens, and those who work to restore [the damage]" and regret that she should have acted "more prudently and with more responsibility" but wasn't able to do so.
"I sincerely apologize. I am currently working with my agency to fix the damages caused by the accident and I will do my best to actively communicate and resolve this until the end," the actress added as noted on Kim Sae Ron's Instagram.
In her handwritten letter, the 21-year-old actress also expressed her apology to producers, fellow actors, and the staff members of her upcoming projects.
She feels sorry for "hindering the production of the project that is currently filming, as well as the one in preparation."
Kim Sae Ron's apology statement concluded by saying that she "has no excuses for this unfortunate incident" and "feels so ashamed and disappointed" in herself.
Lastly, the actress vowed to "deeply reflect" on her actions and "ensure that something like this never happens again.
To recall, Kim sae Ron's agency, Gold Medalist, recently shared that the actress has undergone blood tests and is currently waiting for the result.
In addition, she promised to cooperate with the police authorities while under investyigation.
Kim Sae Ron Drops Out from SBS' 'Trolley'
Her statement comes after her withdrawal from the upcoming series "Trolley."
According to Herald Pop, Studio S, the production company behind the K-drama, shared that "Kim Sae Ron's agency expressed her intent to step down from the show. And we accepted [the request]."
As for the actress' upcoming series with Netflix, the production team of "Bloodhounds" released a statement saying that they are "currently in the middle of filming."
Due to Kim Sae Ron's DUI incident, the team "plan on adjusting the filming schedule, and the release date will also be announced as soon as it's arranged after a discussion."
The 21-year-old actress is set to star as one of the lead characters in "Bloodhounds" alongside Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, and veteran actors Park Sung Woong and Heo Joon Ho.
