"Daesang," also known as the grand prize winner, is one of the highly coveted categories in every ceremony in South Korea.
From the broadcast network's annual ceremony to Blue Dragon Film Awards and, of course, Baeksang Arts Awards, one of the most prestigious entertainment awards in the country, the category is given as the highest award an artist can achieve.
Being nominated for a Daesang award means the actor or actress has shown a great contribution to the entertainment industry for a certain year.
Aside from the glitz and glam on the red carpet, celebrities and viewers are looking forward to seeing stars who are set to bring home the title.
Interestingly, here's a rundown of Korean actors with not just one but multiple Daesang awards from various award-giving bodies.
Kim Soo Hyun
The South Korean heartthrob currently holds 5 Daesang trophies.
Kim Soo Hyun's achievement includes bagging his first-ever grand prize award during the 2014 Korea Drama Awards for his performance in "My Love From The Star" with Hallyu star Jun Ji Hyun.
From then on, the actor continued to win the same category, which included the 2015 APAN Star Awards, another for Korea Drama Awards for the K-drama "The Producers."

His most recent was the 2020 Asia Artist Awards for "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
Song Joong Ki
Another Hallyu actor making it on the list of Korean stars with multiple Daesang awards is Song Joong Ki.
He may be in the industry for quite some time, but this South Korean star gained extreme popularity thanks to "Descendants of the Sun" with ex-wife Song Hye Kyo.
Song Joong Ki had his first-ever Daesang trophy in the 2016 APAN Star Awards and the KBS Drama Awards in the same year for the mega-hit K-drama.
Unfortunately, he failed to bring home his 3rd grand prize award and was only nominated at the Korea Drama Awards 2016.
Lee Jong Suk
Apart from his slew of achievements, Lee Jong Suk has 2 out of three Daesang awards.
First is the 2015 Korea Brand Stars, followed by the 2016 MBC Drama Awards for his fantasy rom-com series "W." He was nominated for the same category in the 2017 SBS Drama Awards for "While You Were Sleeping," but it was Ji Sung who bagged the trophy.
Namgoong Min
Like Lee Jong Suk, the equally talented Namgoong Won also has two Daesang awards.
He took home the grand prize at the 2020 SBS drama awards for "Hot Stove League" and later won Daesang in MBC Drama Awards 2021 for his Kdrama comeback "The Veil."
Lee Seung Gi
Last but definitely on the list of the triple threat Lee Seung Gi.
Aside from raking recognitions in the music industry, the 35-year-old star not only won Best Actor awards but also has two Daesang awards.
First is during the 2018 SBS Entertainment Awards for his performance as a cast member in the popular show "Master in the House."
Second is Lee Seung Gi's grand prize award at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards as Daesang: TV Actor of the Year for his K-drama "Mouse."
