‘Escape from Mogadishu’ Cast Update: What’s Next for Jo In Sung, Goo Kyo Hwan, More
Jo In Sung's award-winning movie "Escape from Mogadishu" regained its popularity after it officially dropped on Netflix.
With this, the global audience was able to witness the thrilling and surprising twist featuring the star-studded cast.
Joining Jo In Sung, Kim Yoon Seok, Goo Kyo Hwan, and Heo Joon Ho appeared as the lead stars.
Helmed by "The Berlin File" and "Battleship Island" director Ryu Seung Wan, "Escape from Mogadishu" is based on true stories involving North and South Korean diplomats who were trapped amid the Somali Civil War.

Despite the pandemic, millions of viewers watched this on the big screen, making it the first Korean movie to surpass 1 million moviegoers in 2021.
On top of it, the movie also raked more than 45 awards and nominations, one of which was the coveted Best Film at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards.

The award-winning actor showed off his supremacy after portraying the Counselor Kang Dae Jin, who also served as the embassy's intelligence officer.
While "Escape from Mogadishu" is his comeback to the big screen, he is set to return with an action crime film "Smugglers" alongside Kim Hye Soo, Yeom Jung Ah, and "Hellbound's" Park Jung Min.

In addition, Jo In Sung is also returning to the small screen after six years with the upcoming K-drama "Moving."
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the action-fantasy series also features Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, and more as lead stars.
Kim Yoon Seok (South Korean Ambassador Han Shin Sung)
After the award-winning film, fans would get to see Kim Yoon Seok, who played South Korean Ambassador Han Shin Sung in "Escape from Mogadishu" in an upcoming action historical movie "Noryang: Sea of Death."
Interestingly, he will be reunited with Heo Joon Ho, who played the North Korean Ambassador in "Escape from Mogadishu."
Adding to the list of his upcoming movies, Kim Yoon Seok will also headline the cast of "Virus" with Bae Doona.

As mentioned, he took the role of Ambassador Rim Yong Soo in the political action movie.
After "Escape from Mogadishu," the veteran actor will join Kim Yoon Seok in "Noryang: Sea of Death."
In addition, viewers also saw him as one of the supporting actors in BLACKPINK Jisoo and Jung Hae In's "Snowdrop."
As for his upcoming K-dramas, he is set to appear in Netflix's "Bloodhounds" with Woo Do Hwan and the forthcoming series "Missing: The Other Side 2."
Goo Kyo Hwan (North Korean Counselor Tae Joon Gi)
Playing the role of Ambassador Rim's trusty ally Tae Joon Gi, Goo Kyo Hwan will reprise his role in the upcoming sequel of "D.P."
The versatile actor will also headline two forthcoming movies. The action military film "Escape" with Lee Je Hoon and Jeon Do Yeon's "Kill Bok Soon."
