The year 2022 is definitely the year for Son Seok Koo as the versatile actor headline two blockbuster Kdrama and movie.
From rom-com to action, the 39-year-old star could surely ace any role he portrays, whether it's the mysterious Mr. Gu in "My Liberation Notes" or the villain in "The Roundup."
As he returned to South Korea after filming his upcoming Kdrama "Casino" in the Philippines, Son Seok Koo appeared as a guest in SBS Power FM "Two o'Clock Escape Cultwo Show." Joining him on the show is "The Roundup" co-star Choi Gwi Hwa.
While the South Korean heartthrob gears up his activities in the country, he spoke about keeping up with his schedule and the support of fans with his drama and current movie.

Son Seok Koo says that he was surprised by the overwhelming love of fans and viewers, especially when he arrived at the airport.
As noted by Newsen, the actor recalled, "I came yesterday morning, and the fans must have been out at the airport" prior to his arrival.
Unfortunately, he missed his flight in the Philippines and arrived in Korea pretty late than expected.
He also expressed deep regret for not being able to meet some of his fans, saying "It would have been nice to meet them in advance," noting an event where he could meet and greet his lovely supporters.

Meanwhile, the actor is "grateful" that he is now in South Korea.
"Coming to Korea gives me a real feeling, and I am so grateful," he pointed out.
"My Liberation Notes" and Son Seok Koo, as well as Kim Ji Won, were consistent in most buzzworthy drama and actor rankings.
In addition, the JTBC series wrapped up the season with the highest viewership ratings of its entire run as viewership rating spiked to 6.7 percent.
The same goes for Son Seok Koo's new movie "The Roundup," which remained at the top box office for two straight weeks since its premiere.

"The Roundup," which stars Ma Dong Seok, Son Seok Koo, and Choi Gwi Hwa, has garnered a whopping 7 million viewers since it made a debut on May 18.
With the support from moviegoers, the action comedy film, which is also a sequel to the 2017 "The Outlaws," becomes the first film to surpass 5 million moviegoers since 2019 "Parasite" and becomes the highest-grossing Korean movie to reach millions amid the pandemic.

With this, Son Seok Koo, who plays villain Gang Hae Sang, expressed his happiness with the movie's achievement.
Interestingly, he promised to return to SBS Power FM as a guest and sing Hareem's "Departure from a Country" if "The Roundup" gets 10 million movies.
